Chart in MS-Word -: Chart is the graphical tool used to demonstrate the data record in the graphical form which made a user to understand the things easily. There is a number of chart categories namely Column Chart, Pie Chart, Bar Chart, Area Chart etc.

Here are the steps to insert a kind of chart in the active document:-

  •  Go to Insert tab and click Chart tool in the illustration group; then
  • A dialog box will appear to view your option choose a chart type from the left pair then browse the chart on the right.
  • Select the desired chart then click ok.
  • A chart and spreadsheet window will appear. The text spreadsheet is merely a place holder that you will need to replace with your own source data. The source data is what Word use to create the chart.
  • You can change to the actual data figure in the excel sheet, the chart will be modified automatically.
  • You can even do the formatting of the chart appearance.
  • When you are done Click x to close the spreadsheet window.
  • The chart will be completed.
